Physical Fitness Testing
We have started pre-testing for our Physical fitness challenge.
Ask your child(ren) if there is anything they need to work on for PE.
We verbally tell your child if they need to practice on a certain category or categories.
We test in 4 different categories:
Pull-ups or bent arm hang
Sit and reach
Timed mile run (1/2 mile for 1st and 2nd grades)
The standards for these tests are different for boys and girls and the ages of each.
During our pre-testing we inform your child if he/she needs to practice on any of the categories. We will have our final testing done by the end of April 2016 and awards will be held at the end of May.
It would be helpful to your child to periodically ask them if there is anything they need to be practicing for P.E.

Proper P.E. Clothing
It is very important, for the safety of your child(ren) that they wear the proper clothes on their P.E. days. Your child(ren) will have 50 mins of P.E. twice a week.
Your teacher will inform you of the schedule or you can ask your child.
Proper tennis shoes would be most favorable, closed toe, no heels, sandals or flip flops.
Weather appropriate clothes.
Students may bring a water bottle with their name written clearly in permanent marker.
And most importantly please bring a SMILE! :)
